ℹ️ Info

Maximum leverage is set per market and depends on the market type, entry price, spread, and orderbook depth. Live in-game sports markets carry lower caps (typically 2–3x) than season-long or tournament-winner markets. The trade screen shows the exact cap for each market — see How Leverage Works for the per-market-type parameters.

How markets are added

Markets are curated by the Amplifi team based on:

  • Liquidity: Sufficient orderbook depth on Polymarket to support leveraged trading
  • Duration: Longer-duration markets (weeks to months) are preferred — they have deeper orderbooks and more sustained liquidity
  • Volume: Markets with healthy 24h trading volume

Short-duration or event-driven markets with thin orderbooks (e.g., flash political events) carry reduced leverage caps — sometimes as low as 1x — because thin books can't support large leveraged exits.

Crypto strike markets

A common leverage-enabled market type is multi-strike crypto price markets on Polymarket. These are structured as:

"Will BTC be above $105,000 on May 23?"

Each event contains multiple strike prices (e.g., $100K, $102K, $105K, $108K, $110K), creating a ladder of binary options around the current spot price. New events are created daily or weekly.

These markets typically have:

  • Deep orderbooks ($100K+ in resting liquidity at multiple price levels)
  • High 24h volume
  • Clear resolution criteria (spot price at a specific time)

Market resolution

When a Polymarket market resolves:

  • Winning shares are redeemed at $1.00 per share
  • Losing shares are redeemed at $0.00 per share

Redemption is automatic — you do not need to manually close your position. Amplifi's market resolution service detects the outcome and redeems your shares on-chain via the Conditional Token Framework (CTF).

After redemption:

  1. Any outstanding loan is repaid from the proceeds
  2. Remaining equity stays in your deposit wallet
  3. The position is marked as closed
