Fees

The fee structure on Amplifi.

Trading fee

Amplifi charges a trading fee when you open a position, and again when you close it voluntarily (a manual close or a take-profit fill). The fee is a fraction of the equivalent Polymarket taker fee for that market, so it follows the same curve:

fee = shares × rate × price × (1 - price)
  • The rate is set by Amplifi as a fraction of Polymarket's per-market taker rate, and can differ by market category.
  • The fee is highest when the share price is near $0.50 (where price × (1 - price) peaks) and approaches zero as the price nears $0 or $1.
  • It scales with position size, so higher leverage means a proportionally larger fee.

Your liquidation price already accounts for the trading fee, so the price you see reflects the true cost of the position.

ℹ️ Info

The trading fee applies on open and again on a voluntary close. It is not charged when a position ends any other way (see below).

When the close fee does not apply

You are only charged the close-side fee on a voluntary close. It is waived when a position ends outside your control:

  • Liquidation: no close fee. A liquidation penalty applies instead (see below).
  • Resolution: the fee curve is zero at $0 and $1, so holding a position to market resolution is free of the close fee.
  • Auto-deleverage: if Amplifi force-closes a position to manage risk, no close fee is charged.

The open fee always applies.

Borrow rate

Leveraged positions carry a borrow rate, quoted as an annual percentage (APR), on the borrowed portion of the position (margin × (leverage - 1)) for as long as the position stays open.

  • A 1x position borrows nothing and pays no borrow fee.
  • Interest accrues continuously while the position is open and is deducted from your payout at close.
  • Accrued interest raises your liquidation price over time: as the interest builds, the liquidation threshold tightens even if the market price is flat.

Withdrawal fee

A flat $0.20 USDC fee is deducted on each withdrawal to cover the Polygon gas cost of the on-chain transaction.

Liquidation penalty

If your position is liquidated, a penalty (a percentage of your margin) is withheld from the amount returned to you. The remainder of your equity stays in your deposit wallet.
