How Amplifi Wallets Work

Each Amplifi user gets a dedicated TEE wallet on Polygon that enforces trading policies.

Deposit wallet

When you sign up for Amplifi, a deposit wallet is created for you on Polygon. This is a TEE wallet: an ERC-1967 proxy derived via CREATE2 — meaning the address is deterministic and known before the wallet is even deployed on-chain.

The wallet is materialized (deployed) by the Polymarket relayer on your first transaction.

How it works

Your deposit wallet is controlled by a dedicated owner keypair that signs all trading operations on your behalf using EIP-712 typed data signatures. Key custody is built around a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) architecture: the controlling keys are being migrated into a TEE — already live in some environments — so they cannot be accessed or extracted by anyone, including Amplifi operators, even with privileged system access. Until the rollout completes everywhere, remaining keys are held in Amplifi's hardened key-management infrastructure.

The Polymarket relayer submits the transactions and pays gas — you never need POL (Polygon's native token).

What the wallet can do

  • Deposit: Receive USDC and wrap it to pUSD (Polymarket's internal stablecoin)
  • Trade: Buy and sell shares on Polymarket's CLOB
  • Withdraw: Unwrap pUSD back to USDC.e and send it to your connected wallet
  • Repay loans: Transfer funds to the lending pool on position close
  • Pay fees: Transfer liquidation penalties and withdrawal fees to the protocol

What the wallet cannot do

  • Transfer funds to arbitrary addresses
  • Interact with contracts outside the approved set (Polymarket exchange, lending pool, onramp)
  • Be drained by the user or any third party outside of the approved operations

This restriction is what enables under-collateralized lending. The lending pool extends credit because the wallet enforces how funds are used.

Gas and fees

The Polymarket relayer pays all gas costs for wallet operations (deployment, approvals, trades, withdrawals). You do not need to hold POL or any gas token.

A small withdrawal fee ($0.20 USDC) covers the Polygon transaction cost for the withdrawal operation.

Deposit and withdrawal flow

Depositing

  1. You approve USDC transfer from your connected wallet
  2. USDC is sent to your deposit wallet on Polygon
  3. The wallet wraps USDC.e to pUSD via the CollateralOnramp contract
  4. pUSD is now available for trading

Withdrawing

  1. You request a withdrawal from the Amplifi UI
  2. The wallet unwraps pUSD back to USDC.e via the Offramp contract
  3. USDC.e is sent directly to your connected wallet on Polygon
  4. A $0.20 fee is deducted to cover gas

ℹ️ Info

Withdrawals are Polygon-native. There is no bridge to Ethereum or other chains — you receive USDC.e on Polygon.
